55th Reunion – San Francisco
September 5th to 7th, 2020
Hey Dragons, are you packed yet for your 55th in The City by the Bay? Come join Rob McCullough in San Francisco for some fresh crabs, sourdough bread and Napa Valley wine!
Rob conducted hotel searches and found that the best location is in touristy Fisherman’s Wharf where many restaurants and things-to-do are within walking distance or accessible by public transport. And in 2020, September has better hotel rates after the big summer tourist crowd goes home, and it will be right about the time some of you will be looking for R&R after having fun with your grand kids all summer!
Last week (end of September 2019) Rob, Stan Yamamoto and I did the final grand tour of potential hotels and we selected the Marriott Hotel. For those of you who are members of the Marriott Bonvoy, the hotel has promised double points for your stay.
3 Nights: September 5, 6 and 7
San Francisco Marriott Fisherman’s Wharf, 1250 Columbus Avenue
Quoted room rate is $208.44 per night including all taxes and fees, not including breakfast. There is a restaurant in the hotel, or breakfast places close by. Whether you want bacon/sausage/ham/eggs or organic breakfasts, you will have choices within walking distance.
We will need to make a commitment and place a 25% deposit of projected occupancy to secure the rooms. Therefore please
let us know by no later than October 15!
We surely hope all of you will join this awesome Class of 65 in San Francisco!
The hotel has offered to provide the discounted rates for those wishing to arrive up to 3 days early and/or stay up to 3 days after our reunion. Please let us know if this might be of interest to you so we can lock in the rates for you.
